Aerial Photograph of Batangas City 1933

Above is a colorized photograph of the town of Batangas taken on 24 January 1933 taken from an aircraft that probably flew from Nichols Airfield (present-day Villamor Air Base) in what is now the City of Pasay. The photo has been zoomed and cropped from the original so that the pictures of buildings and houses would be more visible using any of the popular web browsers. The original has also been processed using graphics editing software to improve overall quality.

Below is a copy of the original black and white file downloaded from the United States National Archives, complete with annotations on the picture itself made by American archivists. It has been resized from its original high resolution version (6,895 x 5,360 pixels) to a smaller 2,200 x 1,954 pixels for quicker download over the Internet. The original is available for educational and non-commercial use at the United States National Archives.
