The Canluran Infantry Regiment was a guerrilla outfit that operated out of the Municipality of Taal and was commanded by one Lt. Col. Marcelino D. de la Rosa. The outfit was affiliated with the larger Blue Eagle Command that also operated in Batangas and was attached to United States Army units during the liberation of the province in 1945. In this documents1 are contained instructions to the men of the Canluran Infantry Regiment’s Companies “B” and “C” regarding their processing at the Philippine Army.

1. I am sending you herewith four (4) copies of roster of troops of your respective companies. By verbal instructions of Major Jack P. Barton, 11th Airborne Guerrilla Coordinator of Batangas Guerrillas last 29 June 1945, I prepared these rosters based on rosters of “B” and “C” Companies, respectively submitted by you and approved by the Sixth Army.

2. All officers and men must report for processing with the Philippine Army on or before the 10th instant. There should be no change in the names and ranks as approved by the Sixth Army. A list of men who failed to report for processing should be made, stating the reasons for such failure and same should be attached to the rosters to be submitted.

3. The three (3) copies of the rosters are to be given to the officer in charge of going to Camp Murphy for him to give to Major Jack P. Barton. One (1) copy to be taken by you to be presented to the Commanding Officer of Camp Murphy.

1. Pursuant to verbal instructions of Major Jack P. Barton, USA. 11th Airborne Guerrilla Coordinator, Batangas Guerrilla Headquarters, you are hereby directed to contact Commanding Officers of “B” and “C” Companies and advise them to have their officers and men ready to report to their respective Headquarters at a moment’s notice.

2. They may be processed any time on or before the 10th instant.
