The western Batangas town of Lian has a total land area of 7,680, distributed among its 19 barangays. Its population as per the 2020 Philippine Census was placed at 56,280. It is part of the Province of Batangas’ 1st legislative district. The town used to be part of Nasugbu and Balayan and its official foundation date is placed at January 1915, during the American colonial era.
Lian is categorized as a 3rd income class municipality and can be reached by road from Manila via Tagaytay or via Ternate through the Kaybiang Tunnel and Nasugbu.
