The Lobo Unit, USAFFE Guerrilla was originally considered by the United States army as part of the Pandita Area, DI Combat, Free Luzon Area, 6th Military District guerrilla outfit under the command of one Danny Flores. The mother organization was not favorably considered for recognition by the United States Army. In this page is a transcription1 of a memorandum issued to all officers and enlisted men of the Lobo Unit announcing specific assignments for the unit’s officers.

: ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL OFFICERS AND ENLISTED MEN.
: ALL MEMBERS OF THE LOBO UNIT MINDE AREA.
UNDER MAJOR TOMAS A. ILAGAN
SIXTH MILITARY DISTRICT.
1. It is hereby announced that the following officers and men are assigned to the following duties.

(a) Major Tomas A. Ilagan: Battalion Commander
(b) Major Jacinto B. Maranan: Battalion Executive Officer (Jack Mar)
(c) Captain Ciriaco L. Solis: “A” Co. CO as Ass’t EO (Soliman)
(d) Captain Feliculo R. Sanchez: “C” Co. CO (FeRaZa)
(e) Captain Tomas Bunao Cena: “B” Co. CO (TomBunCen)
(f) 1st Lt. Severa A. Ilagan: S-3 Bn (Sever)
(g) 1st Lt. Benjamin A. Ilagan: Intelligence Operative Officer (Lt. Ben)
(h) 1st Lt. Celerino S. Aguila: Bn S-2 (Old Egale)
(i) 1st Lt. Salustiano B. Manalo: Bn S-1 (Lt. Salazar)
(j) 1st Lt. Juan S. Catada: S-2 “C” Co. (Lt. Johnny Cat)
(k) 1st Lt. Pedro Manalo: S-2 “A” Co. (Lt. Ped. Man.)
(l) 1st Lt. Nemicio de Mesa: S-2 “B” Co. (Lt. Junior)
(m) 1st Lt. Gonzalo C. Ramirez: Int. Oper. Off. Actg. S-3 (Gonzar)
(n) 1st Lt. Marcelino L. Solis: Trans. Off. (Marck)

2. All officers in this list are permanent to their duties as assigned by the Battalion Commander.

3. Special Orders are in the making and are ready for [the] signatures of [the] officers concerned.

4. Promotions of officers and enlisted men are already confirmed by this Hq. and would be announced to the persons concerned in our Unit.

5. Recommendations of promotions or transfer of duties should be sent to the Battalion S-1 for action of the Commanding Officer.

6. Any request to be forwarded by your headquarters should be done officially and should pass thru channels.

7. Follow orders and comply with these instructions.
