Memo to Lobo Unit Company Commanders Clarifying Sectors of Jurisdiction, April 1943

The Lobo Unit, USAFFE Guerrilla was originally considered by the United States army as part of the Pandita Area, DI Combat, Free Luzon Area, 6th Military District guerrilla outfit under the command of one Danny Flores. The mother organization was not favorably considered for recognition by the United States Army. In this page is a transcription1 of a memorandum issued to all company commanders clarifying the sectors of jurisdiction for each company and enjoining each commander their monthly reports on important information within the respective company commanders’ sector.

  LOBO UNIT MINDE AREA.

1. This headquarters is announcing to all Company Commanders to submit their monthly reports within their jurisdictions.

2. The following barrios, as per order of the Battalion Commander, should be the section of jurisdiction under the respective commanders as stated below.

WITHIN THE LOBO JURISDICTION:

First Sector under Captain Ciriaco L. Solis (Soliman)
(a) Banalo
(b) Masaguitsit
(c) Fabrica
(d) Balatbat
(e) Ladalarin & Olo-olo

Second Sector under Captain Tomas Bunao Cena (TomBunCen)
(a) Sauang
(b) Soloc
(c) Malabrigo
(d) Balibago
(e) Biga

Third Sector under Captain Feliculo R. Sanchez (FeRaZa)
(a) Poblacion
(b) Tayuman
(c) Mabilog na Bundoc
(d) Nagtalontong
(e) Biga, Tayuman

The Fourth Sector under Captain Severo A. Ilagan is in Lubang Island.

3. Submit the trails and roads within the section you are assigned and the number of houses and inhabitants within.

4. Prepare to make a geographical map showing the trails and roads connecting the different sectors and the places where there are houses and fields or plantations within.

5. Put also the outpost and the present headquarters and your training ground on the map and the routes and trails giving them the numbers numerically.

6. Prompt action is needed by this headquarters.
