Memo to Lobo Unit Company Commanders on a Coming Inspection of Troops April 1943

The Lobo Unit, USAFFE Guerrilla was originally considered by the United States army as part of the Pandita Area, DI Combat, Free Luzon Area, 6th Military District guerrilla outfit under the command of one Danny Flores. The mother organization was not favorably considered for recognition by the United States Army. In this page is a transcription1 of a memorandum announcing to all company commanders inspection of troops by the Battalion Commanding Officer, along with a few other miscellaneous instructions.

15 April 1943

TO : ALL COMPANY COMMANDERS.
: LOBO UNIT MINDE AREA.

1. All Company Commanders must be prepared for the inspection of the Battalion Commanding Officer, together with the Staff, on a specified date to be forwarded to your headquarters.

2. All Combat Sections of each company must be in the headquarters and always be ready for inspection.

3. Illiterates must not be posted as guards for they may be called up by [the] Commanding Officer for he can’t turn up the guard for fear he may be in [the] wrong position.

4. Don’t prepare food for the party for we shall bring our subsistence for the whole day, so don’t bother too much.

5. The Company S-3’s must be ready for the CO will order for a close order drill in your training grounds.

6. Prepare your outpost for the special occasion to come.

7. Compliance to [this] order is needed.
