The photograph below is from the October 19131 edition of the quarterly bulletin and captioned: “Balayan market, Batangas.” This market was among those listed by the Bureau of Public Works as “completed,” its dimensions being 21 by 43 meters.

Funding for the Balayan market’s construction included ₱15,000.00 by way of loan from the Insular (or colonial) Government and ₱5,000 as appropriation from the municipal government of Balayan.
